Dating in 2024: A Deep Dive into Modern Relationships

Dating in this new generation has become a big, messy clump of nothing. Why are we living in a world where dating no longer has a purpose? There was a time when people were dating to marry. These times have changed, and people are dating with no intent to marry; the purpose is just to date for a few months or years with no value. Hookup culture has become a problem in society, and the mindset of "everyone is doing it, so you should too" has become the new normal.

Suppose you aren't actively participating in hookup culture currently; you're in the lower percentage, and you have the opportunity more than likely to become a high-value man or a high-value woman—that is, of course, if your worldview doesn't hinder your progress. Some of these topics and discussions around dating have become more widely acknowledged, and issues surrounding hookup culture and the rise of OnlyFans have become widespread worldwide.

Participating in degenerate behavior creates weak men and women. Men won't be in touch with their masculinity, and women won't be in touch with their femininity. There will be men who will become feminine, which we have seen in 2024. They will date women who participate in OnlyFans and tell these women it's okay, which enables women's behavior and won't hold them accountable for doing OnlyFans or other degenerate behavior. Men who align with traditional views of masculinity have begun abandoning dating in the West, opting instead to go overseas in search of more traditionally feminine partners, which has contributed to the rise of the 'passport bros.

Women will become more masculine and turn into the men they want to be with. Women who are in tune with their femininity remain in the lower percentage in the West, and those who are aligned with it tend to embody good and wholesome qualities. At the same time, while masculine men go abroad to find a more suitable, feminine wife, they are not seeking out feminine women in the West. It leaves the feminine women in the West with no potential for a real relationship. Even if it's a low percentage of feminine women in the West, it's hard to tell what happens to them.

I stopped dating in the West because hookup culture and dating with no value became burdensome, and I decided to date in a culture that still honors the nuclear family. If we aim to address this degenerate behavior, we must first ask ourselves: who will improve first? Degeneracy is what's wrong with society, and we must date with the intent to marry. Marriage has a religious perspective, which needs to be taken with care and seriousness if you want to do it.

The problem is the secular scope of dating to marry ends up dating to divorce later, which increases divorce rates. If you aren't dating with the intent to stay together, then why even decide to take a massive step into marriage when looking through the lens of a secular perspective? We no longer live in the times when our grandparents were married; they were marrying younger, and marriage still had value. Grandma stayed home to raise the kids and care for the house; Grandpa was the provider and protector.

My great-grandparents helped raise me, and they were married for 58 years and had six children. When I saw my great-grandmother, I saw her beauty and how I wanted to be like her with her nurturing instincts. It took a few years for me to become in tune with my femininity after having been more masculine. But when I got with my current fiancé, my femininity blossomed naturally, without me even trying hard—I became naturally submissive.

Seeing the kind of man my great-grandfather was to my grandmother and how his hard work continues to stand the test of time even after both of them are gone speaks volumes about the type of man he was. I knew this was an example of how a man should treat a woman, and the way my grandmother was shows how a woman should treat a man. It highlights how lost the West is when it comes to dating. We must look at the past and compare dating then and now, and we will realize how much is missing in this society. Sadly, we have come far from what we had back then. All this is to say: who will become better first, men or women?
